Indication: For the treatment of constipation and hepatic encephalopathy.

Therapeutically, Lac-Dol has laxative and ammonia-detoxifying actions. In treating constipation Lac-Dol metabolites draw water into the bowel, causing a cathartic effect through osmotic action.
