Teralithe side effects

Some of the side effects of Teralithe are vertigo, muscle weakness, nausea, mild gastrointestinal effects and dazed feeling. These side effects usually disappear after stabilization. Other side effects such as fine hand tremors, polyuria and mild thirst; weight gain or oedema; hypercalcaemia, hypermagnesaemia and hyperparathyroidism; and skin problems may also occur. Talk to your doctor in the soonest possible time if you experience any of the said side effects.

Some of the side effects of the medicine when used in a long-term basis are thyroid function disturbances like goitre, Hypothyroidism and thyrotoxicosis; polyuria or polydipsia, renal function; and memory impairment.

Gastrointestinal side effects such as increasing anorexia, diarrhea and vomiting and central nervous system side effect like drowsiness and ataxia, dysarthria, coarse tremor, blurred vision, muscle weakness, lack of co-ordination, tinnitus and muscle twitching may also occur. Stop taking Teralithe and look for emergency medical attention or contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the said side effects.

Other side effects not mentioned here may also occur. Talk to your doctor if you experience any unusual or bothersome side effects.

Teralithe drug reactions

Some drugs that may affect Teralithe are selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, metronidazole, tetracyclines, topiramate, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ACE inhibitors, thiazide diuretics, spironolactone, frusemide, angiotensin-II receptor antagonists, other drugs that affect electrolyte balance, xanthines, sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride containing products, psyllium or ispaghula husk, urea, mannitol, acetazolamide, neuroleptics, cxalcum channel blockers, carbamazepine or phenytoin, methyldopa, lithium, thioridazine, and iodide. Talk to your doctor first before taking the drug if you are taking any of the said medications. If you are taking any of the said medications, your doctor might not allow you to take Teralithe, adjust your dose, or require you a special monitoring during the treatment.
